Our teaching approach
A lesson should give you a clear way to build your skills without losing sight of the music you want to play. B Sharp Musiq's one-on-one lessons are tailored to each student's ability, interests and goals.
Avi and Tess started by teaching two or three students in their spare time. As they saw students work through challenges, develop new abilities and return to music, they grew B Sharp Musiq into a music school. Their approach brings together musical knowledge, technique, patience and enjoyment.

Student testimonials
"I just wanna say thank you to Tess and Avi for inspiring me to play piano again. On my first lesson with Avi, I played my first song, 'Here I Am to Worship', and it sounded so beautiful, even I was amazed that I could play like I did. Thank you. God bless you for helping me find my passion."
"I have been a student with B Sharp since the beginning and their professional and patient approach to each student is amazing. Their skill to adapt to the learning needs of their students is what sets them apart. I saw results in my piano playing and vocals within the first few lessons and I continue to grow in every lesson I have. THANK YOU, B Sharp Musiq School!"
"I have been going for music lessons with B Sharp Music School for approximately two years now. My teachers, Avi and Tess, are most patient, understanding and incredibly talented in their craft. I would highly recommend B Sharp Musiq School, especially for adult learners. Choosing this school has been the best decision."
"Avi and Tess are the best piano teachers! Tess is an amazing pianist and her love and dedication to music is apparent in her teaching. Kyle has learned an incredible amount in a short space of time. Tess and Avi are super cool and amazing with children and they create an environment that is friendly and inspiring. Highly recommended."
"I highly recommend Tess and Avi to anyone looking for a piano teacher. Avi has been my teacher for a year and a half and he's been really patient. He takes things slow so that you don't feel like you have a lot of things to practise. Overall, he's just really cool and fun and a very good teacher to have."
"I am learning to play the guitar with Avi. I really love playing the guitar and Avi makes the lessons fun and interesting. My family are already so impressed that I already know how to play some songs. Avi always pushes me to be better."
"I am currently learning to play the piano with Tess. Tess is very friendly and kind and she makes me want to persevere and learn more. She makes learning music fun and I always look forward to the next lesson."
"I love being a student at B Sharp Musiq, not only because of the calibre of teaching that I get from my tutor, but also because I'm taught with love. For me, that technique keeps me most happy at B Sharp Musiq."
"Your lessons have shown me that music is much more than do-re-mi; it's rhythms, notes and chords all synchronised in harmony. I'm thankful for your classes with me and Jesse, for opening my eyes to see the wonderful world of music and for never giving up on my brother and me."
"God bless you guys and your music school. You have truly brought out the best in my son for the short time he has been with you guys, and I believe the best is yet to come. You guys are passionate about what you do. A big thumbs up!"
